Talking Heads – Sugar On My Tongue
Yo, this isn’t a pic of a fish that just ate a bug. This is Cymothoa Exigua, the parasitic crustacean that attaches itself (by it’s anus) to the base of the spotted rose snapper’s tongue. It then extracts the blood out of the fish’s tongue and gradually fully replaces the fish’s tongue. The fish is even able to use the parasite just like a normal tongue. And the craziest part is, it causes no damage to the snapper and after the parasite is al settled in it just eats the food that the fish eats. And its the only known case of a parasite functionally replacing a host organ. Here’s a clip of some crazy valley girl that likes to kill the Zombie Tongues.

ZOMBIE CRABBBBBBBB

Jess & Crabbe – In Your Eer
Next up is the barnacle, Sacculina leaves it shell behind to nest in a crabs body. Inside, Sacculina sets up shop, growing tendrils through the crab?s body and slowly feeding on it. It castrates the crab (if male) and effectively turns the crab into a female nanny for its young. This makes the crab not only infertile but also uninterested in mating. The barnacle, on the other hand, bores a hole open in the crab?s shell big enough to let male Sacculina in to mate. The zombie crab treats the Sacculina eggs and larvae as its own, having lost the will to do anything but serve its parasite master. Gangster, its like a Zombie crab incubator pimp.
And finally the most amazing footage of all the zombie critters (i accidentally linked the wrong vid last week)….

Here’s some more dancefloor heat from Tel-Aviv’s Botanika camp. This
time they’re offering a track off NDV’s “South Bridge EP”, the Sinden & Frikstailers approved “Scorchio” – a digital-cumbia workout to sting-up your ZZK, Chico Sonido & Toy Selectah’s selection….
NDV – Scorchio
Other 2 tracks on the EP – ‘The Kwest” & “I Go Deep” – are on some serious UK Funky/Broken Beat percussiveness, supported also by the likes of Ninja Tune’s DK, L-Vis 1990, DJ Rhythma & Daniel Haaksman. Cop the full EP here, here or on various other digital outlets.

This is an amazing Haiti Rap Mix from DJ Still Life. He totally immersed himself in finding the best shit in rap kreyol after Lamin from Dutty Artz gave him his first taste of this music. This is the result, and it’s so nice to hear the dirty south over eastcoast influence on this.

I recently touched on the ?snow? movie genre. It then came to my attention
that in March, Hot Tub Time Machine opens. Just when I thought Hollywood
was hopeless someone green lit a movie that was most likely written in the
haze of legal medicinal sticky icky icky icky icky.
Welcome back from 2010 John Cusack.
